A Florida art teacher has lost her job after exposing students to Sistine chapel ‘filth’, and inadvertently showing a cherub’s willy. School governors were forced to act when she refused to cover Van Gogh’s other ear.
A disgusted parent said: ‘It’s pure filth. I don’t want my kids to see a naked Adam and Eve. They should be wearing superhero costumes as God intended.’
The school’s art department has promised not to show Neolithic cave art to its students unless the stick people are wearing something decent. The Mona Lisa remains under review because some parents are suspicious of the name. Munch’s The Scream is banned because Florida Christians suspect she might be having too much fun.
