Evicted man asked to rate service he received from bailiffs

A man recently evicted from his home was surprised today to receive a message asking him to rate the "service" he'd received from the bailiffs.

"They actually sent it the day after evicting me," he told the local authority housing officer. "But after a couple of nights sleeping rough, last night was the first night I'd found a place in a shelter and been able to recharge my phone.

"And there was this message, asking me to rate the service they'd provided."

After some thought, he praised the bailiffs' courtesy in giving him ten minutes to pack a bag containing a few essentials, and warning him not to take anything too valuable that would probably get nicked on the streets.

"They gave me some very practical advice, like hand sanitiser being more useful than soap since I wouldn't have access to running water.

"You've also got to admire their promptness, given it was only three months ago I lost my job and missed my first mortgage payment.

"Unfortunately they weren't able to help me with who I should contact about finding a safe place to sleep, as this was 'not their department'."

Finally, he confirmed that he would be keen to use the same company again for all future evictions, and would recommend them to any of his friends whose lives had also gone to shit.
