For the third year on the run, Aleppo has won the 'world's flattest city' award, against stiff competition from Mariupol in Ukraine. The mayor of Aleppo was filmed holding the plaque from an underground bunker, grinning for the world press, flanked by Wagner group 'guards' thanking Presidents Bashir and Putin for their individual contributions. 'Without their hard work, Aleppo would be a lot taller,' said a spokesperson for the Mayor.
President Zelensky congratulated the mayor, accepting the second prize award in Kiev. Apparently Wagner guards had been pre-booked by President Putin, but failed to attend.
