In his first face to face verbal contact with BBC sports reporters since a controversial documentary in 2004, Sir Alex said, “Acshuwey, keepin’ tae whuts strictwy affa re park, naebody kens mare aboot preparin’ a woad o’ oul’ keech fer pubwic scrutiny than yours twury”.

On the basis that Big Al will, at some stage in the future, be unable to fulfil his contractual commitments to Man U, have the Dooby Bros, or whatever their names are, planned a substitute?
