offlineMemberI would have thought that all newbies should be welcomed, to keep the place alive. I was welcomed in my time, if roundly kicked out later on.
I can't help noticing a certain irony in today's Front Page. A good few weeks ago, I had a 'willy' sub removed from the board as the editor 'hoped we were able to be a bit more subtle than this' and generally hoped for a better class of board. In the absence of this being the case, it seems that willy jokes are back - and on the front page. Editorial policy is indeed wayward.

I thought my "willies" one was actually making a pretty serious point, by highlighting the absurdity of a religious custom based entirely on a small(well, average-sized) anatomical difference.
Whereas, from memory, your "willy" sub went something like "Woman gets tits caught in mangle". Do you see the difference?
And to be quite honest, painful though it is to say it, people on this site were more patient with you than on any other site I've seen - a lot of people, myself included, spent a lot of time writing you long "chin up" type encouragements, only to have you back every day moaning about all the other writers, the Ed, the site, the weather, everything.
And your justification for bashing everyone's ear all the bleedin' time? That you're a big contributor to the site. Yes, with fine posts like this one:

I really wouldn't start moaning again, plucky - I don't think anyone has any patience left - when people start tagging your posts with "How long till the flounce" etc, you really know you're pissing everyone off.
For the record, the WoMs have been picking more newbie subs for the NIBs than I've ever seen, and in golgo we just had a fantastic newbie 6 FPs in a month.
You're just not good enough yet, plucky, I'm sorry. Getting bitter won't help.
And if you weren't so blindly self-obsessed that you had to slag off my FP just to try to make a point, I wouldn't have posted this.

offlineMemberI was delighted to have my first NiB ever, and I have been here forever (since day 1 of the original site). Would I like more FPs (2 to date over 3/4 years) yes - but I'll just have to put more effort in. Not going to start moaning about "mine has tits in it and didn't get in, but yours had willies in and got a FP". I get occossional ticker headlines, and that makes me happy to. I come here for the laughs and they are plenty. Stop bleedin' moaning.
I do like the pedantically focussed arguments though, they're great.
