US Ambassador, John Roos spoke today at the 65th Anniversary of dropping the bomb on Hiroshima.
He said " Prior to our act who would have ever thought that so much good could come from so much horror, look at Japan today, it is without doubt a shining example of the long term benefits of US intervention and the use of overwhelming force and munitions."
He went on to cause consternation in Washington by adding "Just imagine the bright, shining and enviable future that would be available to Afghanistan if a similiar approach was taken, lets embrace the horror of warfare and recognise the long term benefits the death, injury and long term deformity of so many can have on a country's future status." "Maybe it's time Iraq stopped whining and Afghanistan stopped resisting and they just accepted the inevitable?".
