Can't make out a word, rikkor. What are you trying to say, in your quaint colonial argot? We know a Patrick Duffy, if that's any help. Used to be in 'Dallas' and 'The Man from Atlantis'. Dallas is in County Mayo and Atlantis is in Galway Bay. No, sorry. You're breaking up. . . Hello? Hello? No, he's gone. Anybody fancy a Guinness at Paddy Molonyonyonyonyony's Famine and Pestilence Bar on Tooley Street?

Paddy's day is tomorrow - the 17th March - has someone been at the Loopy juice again and lost a few days?

I suppose it's Paddy's day every day this week in Boston. The English were unjustly vilified over that famine. Being English we naturally assume that, being Catholics, the Irish would have enough babies to eat to satisfy their hunger.

For some reason, the Irish who didn't go to the States seemed to have decided to come to Dundee. There is an entire area of the city which is populated entirely by the decendants of Irish immigrants, and woe-betide any Proddys who think of living there.

Are they still going on about the potato famine? Carbs are so 20th C anyway. Come on, have a root about at the back of the cupboard, there must be something in a tin or some rice. Have they tried sweet potato, yams, or perhaps a nice risotto? It's like one of those "super nanny" programs where the kids will only eat chips. Live a little, try a Ciabatta.

Rikkor, put it all in your blog.
I'm sure they'll make it into a movie, and any re-writes that Mel Gibson demands will be historically accurate.
I'm part Scotch myself. And ginger.

Really Stoopy? Single malt or blended?

Yes Quaz, they do moan on about it don't they. I can't believe there wasn't a Tesco within easy driving distance.
