Hello all! Pinch, punch, first of the month and all that jazz.
February's Writer of the Month contest was bloomin' close. Really bloomin' close. In fact there is 1 point in it between the winner and second place!
The winner was Wrenfoe with 24 points. Well deserved for all of the funny. Wrenfoe is also the winner of story of the month, with Hunt condemns Syrian hospitals for 'poor weekend service'. Congratulations Wren, but unfortunately you will have to pick between having a mug and a star above your head, because due to budgetary restrictions you can only hold one badge at a time.
NiB/ featured/ ticker of the month is awarded to SimonJJames for the featured post (formerly left alert) ‘Racist' ITV mistake Storm Henry for Storm Harriot. My tea was spat everywhere, and so your prize Simon, is the carpet cleaning bill. Hooray! A fantastic idea executed brilliantly. Well done.
And so concludes this month's WoM results - for everybody's points, see below. I just want to say before I toddle off, I'm genuinely really impressed with two things. A) How many people contribute, which is apparent from the vast list of names I have to go through, and B) the quality of submissions- even of stuff that might not get picked by editors. I know I'm behind the scenes, but reading the Writers' Room and having a good old chuckle of an evening is one of the best things about being Nice Admin Lady. Well, that and all of the power muahaha.
Well done, all!
