A scientist who says he has discovered the ultimate secret of the universe is refusing to tell anyone what it is.
‘I’m keeping mum,’ said Dr Franz Jones. ‘Last Tuesday I finally cracked it, but I’m buggered if I’m telling anyone else. I had enough of that game at school with other kids copying my answers in science lessons.’
A spokesman for the British Association of Scientists said the scientific community was disappointed at Dr Jones’ attitude. He added:
‘It’s not the first time Dr Jones has done this. Last year he made contact with intelligent life in another solar system, but has so far refused to share it with us.’
