Could there be something on three shop-keepers giving contradictory evidence, making it impossible to prosecute - and it might be worth considering "Passer-by who killed Policeman faces disciplinary action" as the headline?

Hadn't seen this before. Not sure there's an article in it though. In fact, I think it would ruin what, as a stand-alone line, is basically a perfect, clever, concise, relevant and incisive nugget of satire.
