Nick Clegg's almost triumphant addess to the LibDem conference today was undermined by the signer on the right hand side of the stage who told assembled party members and viewers who might have accidentally tuned-in to the broadcast to "Not vote for that tosser. Even his wife thinks he's a loser."
Clegg is the third politician to fall for the scam where party leaders fail to check the bona-fides of signers "It's a sensitive subject" said Clegg "Whilst you need some comfort that the signer is really deaf and dumb it's a bit awkward to ask then for details of political persuasions."
Cleggs anguish continued after his address after he learnt that his signed message to voters included the need for a "Well hung parliament" and his "Desire to form a coalition with Herr Hitler", adding that "Herr Hitler did not agree with proportional representation."
