Every evening for the past seven or eight years, Rob Dee has logged on to his computer and chosen or created the perfect pic for whichever news story was due to be published that night. Finally he has had to close his photoshop tab and give himself a normal life.
It's hard to overstate just how important Rob has been to the story of Britain's first daily news satire site. Not only has he been incredibly creative and original, he's also been fantastically dependable and dedicated to the site, weeding out spam and tending the Facebook page. We will miss him and thank him for his years keeping the old thing ticking over...
Just a few of my favourite pics of his below...

And this one went viral when Boris first became mayor...

From now on, editors will be having to do their own pics although we welcome submissions that include a creative pic as JP1885 kindly did with his Top Gear Amazon Drone story this week.
If there is anyone out there with particular skills in this department that we can call upon when a story requires something particularly creative, then do please let us know...
In the meantime, thank you again Rob. Enjoy your digital retirement and we hope you pop in and see us from time to time...
