Recently discovered diaries written and maintained by David Warren, the Australian inventor of the 'Black Box' have revealed that he may or may not have used Schroedingers Cat in the early development stages. David felt that the Cat would be useful to measure the actual live data of an aircrash and that its ability to be or not be there or to be alive or dead simultaneaously added a whole new dimension to the capability of the Black Box.
Apparently he decided to use Schroedingers Cat without Schroedingers approval, but because Schroedinger could never actually prove whether that cat was actually there or not all legal challenges failed.
Similarly allegations of cruelty to animals all fell on deaf ears as it could never actually be determined if the cat was alive or dead.
David Warren felt that the Cat lean't an immense value to the Black Box project, fundamentally because the cat was used to being in a constant state of quantum superposition, and of course it was used to being in a box (which was a pre-requisite)..
Grace Jones however declined to comment, stating that she didn't give a fuck if there was a cat in her black box or not..
