Thanks to you all for your entries. You have confirmed my feelings that there are some macabre people out there.
Simon – your mnemonics gave me a smile or two – but although a cricket stump should be vertical, the word fares better when it’s horizontal.
Exigo – you sent me in search of my thinking head for a while, but I got there in the end; I doubt whether the late great Lyttleton would approve of sainthood.
V-will – you really can’t expect an umpire to know anything about indie Irish rock bands – failed or otherwise.
Messrs Blacker and Hack – I know a good shrink who can help you overcome your more violent and bloodthirsty leanings.
All of which leaves me returning the NEAT-O baton to good old Scroat; Samantha Legover-Wickett’s adventures with the camera stump gave me a throaty chuckle. Much enjoyed, congratulations, sir! (- and can you get me a copy of the video?).
