Discussions between David Cameron and Nicola Sturgeon held in Edinburgh regarding further devolved powers finished today with the Scottish Assembly now able to set the price of Irn Bru across all of Scotland.
In heated discussions, Scotland's First Minister and the Prime Minister debated more autonomy from Westminster at length. Though a full implementation of "Devo Max" - Scotland's preferred option - was not discussed, David Cameron did relent on several points, most notably the sale and consumption of Scotland's unofficial national drink.
Speaking after the negotiations, Ms. Sturgeon was disappointed with the outcome. "Originally we had hoped for control of Minimum Wage and Tax Rates." She began. "Mr. Cameron countered with the us retaining creative control of the Beano and we eventually settled on this outcome. I did hope to also get Raspberryade, but we've decided to hold off on that until the next round."
Ms. Sturgeon then announced that under the control of the Scottish Assembly, Irn Bru would immediately have a 5p per litre reduction, subsidised by state pension savings from the high diabetes rate in Scotland.
