   strikes me that many news stories are recurring non-events that could be boiled down to a few generic items, such as 'man denies accusation', 'president condemns atrocity', 'Royal wears something', 'political parties take opposite stands over issue', 'singer chokes on vomit' etc. Maybe the Beeb could just have these as standing items in a footer and concentrate on the interesting stuff..

   Z is threatening your kids' future, and probably did for Diana as well.

   I might give up on news and set this thread to be my homepage, so I can just read this every day and then get on with my life.
