An inquiry is underway by the IPPC (Independent Police Complaints Commission following an incident in Bridgewater on 13th July.
Traffic Officer, Barry Stokes claims that in the normal course of his duties he stoppped Mr Peter Cox on suspicion of driving without insurance. Apparently Mr Cox acted in an aggressive manner and immediately discharged his groin when PC Stokes withdrew his Taser.
The IPCC is now investigating the incident following a significant rise in suspected felons injuring themselves with Tasers. They are quick to point out however that there is absolutely no question of the British Police being guilty of or suffering from premature taser activitivation.
