It's 4.41 p.m. on Wednesday, and I can hear a distant ice cream van playing The Teddy Bear's Picnic.
This was a classic little jingle in its day too.
There's also a programme on Radio 4 about smell/memory associations. Whenever I smell diesel exhaust, I always think of the ice cream van.

We drove behind an ice-cream van the other day and I commented that there must be a very small market for making them. Or are they modified camping vans?
We are OK, here, thanks, Scroaty. I can't wait to get some physio, next week and work hard at being more mobile. How are you and the rest of the Scroats? I appreciate that it has not been easy for you on here, the last few days and I am glad the excitement seems to have died down now. I think we have to accept that there will always be a regular discussion of both scoring and 'what is funny'.

The UOofGB was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. And that's over 30+ years of concerts.
Not just great tunes, but they are TOP comedians with it. Good old fashioned entertainment from beginning to end - modern day variety/music hall.
Feast of Fiddles did my back in. You just can't hope to keep still. Brilliant musicians again.It's a folk supergroup of awesome power.
Had to buy several CD's....check out Brian McNeil, surely Scotland's finest folk musician and one of the best lyricists ever.
My BH weekend was quite special..
