I am just off to the Isle of Wight for a holiday. Will I need to take my own electricity?

If you bicycling down, you could attach what fellaghas used to call a "gégène" to the tow bar and presto! A nice hot cuppa on arrival.
I'm going there in September - please let me know what it's like so that I can avoid the torch bearing mobs.
They have electricity but you will have to take your own 21st century, and any products used by people born since the Korean War. If you are planning on taking a computer or modern mobile phone then make sure that you buy a supply of 'bits' (those noughts and ones). The IOW is entirely analog and so has no bits, so you may need to take several hundred thousand bits with you for each days's stay. If you download a lot of porn then you might need millions per day.
