People who left messages on social networking sites in support of convicted criminal Raoul Moat will be given the opportunity to oversee the rehabilitation of other equally dangerous psychopathic criminals revealed a High Court judge yesterday.
The Metropolitan Police Department, responding to criticism over its handling of the Moat case are said to be firmly behind the initiative that will give ordinary members of the public the chance to mentor murderers, violent criminals and sex offenders in their own homes.
It has been suggested that with the release of Peter Sutcliffe - the Yorkshire Ripper - imminent, the opportunity to befriend a mentally disturbed psychopathic killer has never been better.
Sutcliffe, currently being held at Broadmoor high security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire, has served nearly 30 years behind bars for the brutal murder and mutilation of 13 defenceless women.
Lawyers working on behalf of the convicted killer have asked the courts that he be considered for release on parole in the near future, having already served the minimum term set for such crimes.
Doctors at Broadmoor are hoping a suitable volunteer can be found who will 'treat Britain's most notorious serial killer like a member of the family and not just some deranged mentally disturbed psychotic maniac who cut out his victim's vagina with a knife'.
It is understood Sutcliffe is seeking a warm, relaxed, friendly family environment somewhere near the coast but within easy reach of the motorway.
'No pets' insisted Sutcliffe 'I hate pets, are you listening, no fucking pets you whore. If you got pets I'll cut your tits off and ram them down your throat you bitch.
Oh and preferably non smoking with a garden would be nice too.
