The British National Party (BNP) has gone public with concerns of the whereabouts of a leading comedic star after he failed to attend a party fundraiser.
Blackadder star Stephen Fry failed to attend the HELP for BNP HEROES! Fundraiser over the weekend held in several secret locations in Shropshire.
A party spokesperson said the performer, who entertained thousands while on the popular but short-lived comedy classic Saturday Live, was invited months ago.
“We, the British National Party, laid out the red, white and blue carpet which is only used for indigenous species and reserved a flower-laden Victorian dwelling as per the terms and conditions on his hilarious but succinct and modest website stephenfry.uk,” the party representative explained.
“We have contacted the Police because it came to light during the event that he has stopped adding posts to his Twitter account as well,” the spokesperson added. “We fear for his safety at this critical time.”
The last post on the @stephenfry twitterfeed is on 6th November 2014 prior to the HELP for BNP HEROES! Fundraiser, and as NewsBiscuit went to press there had been no further updates on his activities, thoughts or what he had for breakfast.
The Metropolitan Police confirm that a missing person(s) report has been made by an unnamed political movement but said that it could not comment on individual cases.
