“A system where you can vote for yourself as many times as you like can only be good for democracy” Nick Clegg said today.
“Apathy is the curse of the election system in this country, and people should be rewarded for taking an interest. Any imbalance is easily redressed because people can also vote against something as many times as they like, so only the opinion of people who care, have a vested interest, or have nothing better to do will count.”
“This country should not be run by people who say ‘I can’t be bothered listening to that’ and turn off Any Questions, particularly when I’m on it.”
