Police have today abandoned the Rothbury search for the suspected armed killer Raoul Moat and have instead shifted the manhunt to Alton Towers.
Recent Intelligence saw a dozen officers storm the pirate ship in search of the potential psychopath but after 5 minutes of swinging back and forward this lead failed to provide any conclusive evidence that Moat had been aboard at that time.
Further intel saw the armed unit split as two groups searched the rollercoaster Oblivion, twice, while the other staked out the hot dog stand and the gents toilets followed by a thorough systematic investigation into the Ripsaw ride and Tea Cups ride.
Det Ch Supt Neil Adamson has said that to avoid alarming other theme park visitors the officers would all be plain clothes but would carry badges to help quickly move to the front of queues and enable discounts at Karzy-Kandyfloss. "Our hunt for Moat will continue, uninterrupted, until 6pm today. The lads are excited about today but some of them are getting tired already, and two officers were splashed, but we will not rest until we successfully make an arrest or until Congo River Rapids closes."
