England goalkeeper Joe Hart says it is more important to have thicker, more manageable hair than it is to have World Cup winners medals.
Hart spoke out against German players ahead of Sundays final with Argentina saying that complacency could lead to regrets in later life and they should not be so fixated on winning medals.
The England goalkeeper warned that a Premiership players career is short and they should not spend their time constantly obsessing about winning silverware when they could be in the shower with a bottle of quality shampoo fighting dandruff.
Hart reminded players on both sides that the World Cup comes around every four years but warned that once your hair falls out – that’s it – gone.
Hart told BBC Sport that if there was a fire at his home the one thing he would most like to save would be his favourite bottle of Head & Shoulders and not his EPL Championship winning medal or an England cap..
‘Having shinny, thick blonde hair gives me the confidence to look at myself in the mirror for hours on end’ added Hart ‘German players will only have a DVD to remind them of winning the World Cup but I only have to catch myself in the mirror for an hour or two to remind me I still have lovely hair’.

Hart wished the players well but said he probably wouldn’t be watching the final as he had to stop in on Sunday night to do something important.
He wouldn’t say what.
