A Margate woman has sold an old clapped-out bed for over £2m.
Miss Tracey Emin,50,said that 'for a bit of a lark' she'd put a £2 price tag on the bed which she'd left in her front garden.
'I wasn't really expecting anyone to buy it,' she said,' 'especially as it's in a bit of a mess what with being littered with Wayne's - or somebody's - used condoms and that. Then this chap knocked on the door with two-million quid 'cos he'd either misread the price or he's a complete moron.'
But neighbours said Miss Emin had a talent for getting high prices for her old rubbish.
A DFS bed specialist said the bed was in fact worth just £2 'if it was cleaned up a bit'.
Miss Emin said that although she was happy with the price, she believed she'd have got more for the bed on e-bay.
