The National Association of Paedos hit out today at the quality of many postings on the popular spoof news site, Newsbiscuit.
We're as fondle of joke as the next person said spokesman Tom Fiddler, but recently it seems that many contributors have stooped to lazy stereotyping. Not all Paedophiles are priests, or have a fascination for choir and altar boys, and yet visitors to the Newsbiscuit site would be hard pushed to believe otherwise. In the last week there have been numerous postings with a paedophile bent, all of which, in one way or another use the stereoptype of the paedophile priest.
When will people understand that your average paedophile holds down an ordinary job, has ordinary pursuits (apart from the sex with children of course) and rarely, if ever, indulges in drunken cannibalistic rituals whilst wearing a dress?
Inevitably there will always be a number of priests and choirmasters amongst us but they are a dwindling minority. Today's modern paedophiles come from all walks of life. They are far more likely to Bankers, IT consultants or, like me, a friendly, bearded sweetshop owner than members of the clergy. Frankly, our members are getting more than a little tired of the whole paedo priest thing.
