That's Rotherham for you. In fairness to them, my headline was a bit shit. Still, as Titus would no doubt say, it's no excuse for basic speling errers...
No, Titus would be perfectly happy with spelling errors, it's only the chance to pedantic on grammar he relishes. That's mainly because he can't spell so that's fine, but he is capable of placing punctuation.
Corgrats on a perfectly executed submission Len. Your use of "it's" is admirable.
alwaysoften put "it is" just to be safe even though I know it's correct)
my usual complaint is about people who seem unable to master simple plurals, despite the fact that young children manage this with ease.
i am not bothered with people who cannot distinguish between tpyos and speling erors.
however you may be interested in an interview with the founder of ukip, published on the guardian, where he slags off mr farage for his inability to distinguish between "its" and "it's":
That Sked guy is a pain in the arse - nothing worse than a bitter ex party member. Anyway, when Nigel comes to power, we'll all have handguns to deal swiftly with punctuation deviants and other misfits.
Arse! Lens has corrected the obvious typo making me look a right cnut. Hang on though. I can still edit. <evil laugh>

Titus, sorry for misrepresenting your particular brand of pedantry. I find Sked quite funny;
I can't believe it's not UKIP!
All your favourite Eurosceptic policies!
But where's the racism?
Titus - it's interesting how spelling mistakes are ok, because they are assumed to be typos rather than an inability to spell properly, but apostrophe misuse is always assumed to be because the person is a retard who can't even form a simple plural correctly. EVEN CHILDREN CAN LEARN THIS SO WHAT IS FUCKING WRONG WITH YOU??!?!
Is it not possible, that in trying to type quickly, somebody has made a mistake, rather than not understanding that you don't use apostrophes for plural's?
it's an odd kind of "random" mistake/typo which always selects an apostrophe, of all the available punctuation marks, always inserts it near the end of a simple plural word and always results in the acidental addition of an apostrophe rather than its ommission.
the cause, i would suggest, is not random error or carelessnes at all but (to use your vivd but appropriate pahraseology) "because the person is a retard who can't even form a simple plural correctly. even children can learn this so what is fucking wrong with you??!?!"
i could not have put it better - thank you!
