A man who voted for UKIP in Thursday's election because he said he feels like a stranger in his own country, is in fact just a 'miserable bastard' without any friends according to people who know him.
'Oh,Percy Williams? He's just a miserable bastard,' said neighbour Heather Smith. 'I don't know about being a stranger in his own country, the troublemaking bastard is a stranger in his own street.'
But Mr Williams (52) - who describes himself as 'marginalised white working class', says 'mass uncontrolled immigration' does make him feel like a stranger on his own country.
'I also feel I've no stake in society,' he said. 'As if I'm disconnected.'
'Disconnected?' said Mrs Smith. 'Yes, since this bloody morning when British Gas paid him a visit to cut him off because the tight bastard hadn't paid his bill.
'I really don't know what the bugger is doing in this country,' she said.
