Today's is a right whopper! And it's a crying shame.. and crap editorial (even if 'she' really is "nice").
The shorter the story, the harder it is to write (or rather write well). NIBS are meant to be about sharp writing with no waffle. Every blinking word having to count. Ask any proper writer and you'll hear the same story - shorter = harder.
What a NIB 'aint about is stuffing every possible iota of jokes into the same yawning bag. Which most people can usually hear coming from ten miles. Especially if it's yet another gin soaked drool from the pulpit about Osborne, Gove or IDS.
End of mini rant.
