A 16-year-old boy who survived an extraordinary journey hidden in the wheel well of a five-hour flight from California to Hawaii had travelled on Ryanair it has been revealed.
The FBI said that during the boy's journey at 35,000 feet he would have experienced freezing temperatures and a lack of oxygen. It's believed he was unconscious throughout the journey through the lack of an in-flight meal.
'At first we dismissed the boy's story until he revealed he has travelled in the past on Ryanair,' the FBI spokesman said. 'So we thought, OK, California to Hawaii in a wheel well, a piece of piss for someone with a Ryanair flight history.'
A Ryanair spokesman said its passengers were not at present allowed to travel in its aircrafts' wheel wells 'but we hope to introduce it soon as a premier class option.'
