The God of Christianity, who proclaimed himself simply as 'God', upsetting the other deities in his academic year, has been discredited after Revelations that He faked his credentials. A spokesalmighty from the University of Deities confessed that God did not pass the Intelligent Design module, and failed to graduate with anything beyond a 'vocational qualification'.
A tutor explained, 'We were always a little unhappy with the quality of his work. He was lazy and often used purely empirical methods to prove his theories, 'I saw it and it was good' does not constitute sufficiently rigourous analysis for this learning establishment. Most of his experiments would not pass ethical scrutiny had he even sought peer review. He interfered with a married virgin test subject, and went on to allow his son to be nailed to a cross to 'build character'. Apparently the faithful still celebrate at this time of year by eating toasted tea cakes embellished with Christian graffitti, which they call 'hot cross buns'. Distasteful.'
God is believed to sent guidance to His followers in the early years while stoned, so the Word they transcibed into scriptures may have been 'all over the map', particularly as regards sexual morality, smiting and shellfish. 'Sadly the Christian Bible is not the only user manual one of our graduates has allowed to be published filled with misleading statements and errata.' admitted a Master.
He added 'The only reason His creations have been allowed to remain, despite falling short of our normal standards, is because the Earth gained 'listed' status. partly due to that neat trick he did with the moon. Getting it the right size and distance to make all those total eclipses showed real artistic flair. It is just a pity he rather let himself down with all that organic trial and error. Slugs, wasps and politicians.' He sighed.
God was suspected but later cleared of bullying, after it came to light that He had caused a junior student to be shunned and ultimately excluded. The victim, known only as 'Lucifer', has since gone on to build a successful career in banking.
