The governor of HBOS has been hit with 35 million stroppy letters reminding him that his banks is now in debt. A shocked Fred the Shred Goodwin told reporters 'it's as if I got one from every tax payers in the country.'
Worse still for Goodwin came the revelation, at the end of each letter, that he was personally liable for a twenty five pound administration charge for every warning letter issued. 'It's so unfair. how do they expect me to get out of debt?' he sobbed.
'They don't seem to be applying any common sense,' he told a call centre supervisor in Bangalore, after phoning the customer service hotline.
