In a press conference today, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt read out a statement saying that NHS trusts should draw up plans to have serious mistakes such as medication errors, blood clots and bedsores by 2016-17.
When a journalist in the audience pointed out that the NHS already has these serious mistakes, Mr Hunt realised that there was a typing error on his statement.
"I'm sorry, I'll read that again. NHS trusts should draw up plans to halve serious mistakes by bloody clots in our PR department."
