Speaking to journalists today, the Opposition leader revealed his uncertainty over Labour's chances in next year's General Election.
When asked whether he felt Labour were on course to win, Miliband said "Win what? Is there something happening? I'm almost sure there's something special about 2015, but then again there may not be. Hang on, I'll ring David in New York."
Reminded that next year was an election year, the Labour leader appeared indecisive about his party's prospects.
"We are certain that there will, or may be, an election that we will most likely be taking part in, although to say more than that would be presumptuous at this stage in proceedings with so many variables still to be decided."
"I will however be having pasta for tea tonight. Or it may be noodles. From a pot, or maybe a pan. Perhaps. David...."
