Oscar Pistorius has been charged with bringing down the Malaysian Airlines plane. A police spokesman said that, enraged by the day's court proceedings, Oscar took an anti-aircraft gun from his car and fired it directly at the plane as it passed overhead.
Oscar admitted bringing down the plane. However, in his defence, he said at the time he believed he was under attack from Township thugs in the plane.
A close friend said Oscar always carried an anti-aircraft gun in his car, and had once, during a family barbeque in Pretoria, fired it at a passing JAL plane. On that occasion he asked Winnie Mandela to take responsibility. She agreed to do so, and the police issued her with a caution.
