We did have access to CNN news in the apartment but they just went on and on about Crimea rather than anything really important.
Welcome back. I gather Budapest is quite a pleasant place. You should tell us something about it. Bizarrely, I drove through it at speed in August 1999 desperately trying to find somewhere that wasn't cloudy to watch the solar eclipse.
No flounces, but there's a mysterious 1-star fairy for a while, who mysteriously stopped a few days ago ...
DLT killed Crow with a toaster in the corridor. That's about it really, apart from a missing plane which fortunately no-one's tried laughing about. The papers seem to have forgotten about Ukraine for now.
I've cleared out your entire stock of cheap white fizz and premium Champagnes, I don't really like the mid-range stuff, and raided your fag and cigar counter.

I can thoroughly recommend airbnb.com The apartment was amazing. Huge, central and only £34 a night. Very modern and very well appointed and equipped. It could easily sleep 6. Internal redevelopment of a crumbling 1900's block on the edge of what would have once been the ghetto.
Despite buying 2 x 72hr bus/train/tram passes for less than the cost of a taxi from the airport, we walked everywhere (apart from the airport and back).
Had a great time at an old spa by Heroes' Square pretending it was warmer than 9C outside.
Only dissapointment was travelling by bus from the airport to the beginning of the metro line and the first major building was a bloody Tesco!
You didn't go with the Dunstable option then?
Maybe save it until next time.

But then Towcester and toaster would sound exactly the same in a Brummy accent anyway.
I once had a great time in a spa called Heroes...but that was in Stourbridge.
I have a good friend who escaped (at 12 years old) with her mother in 1956. Gold and jewels sewed into the coats and all. (When she wore jewelry at work, the rabble assumed it was costume.)
They made a break for it when they were told that my friend could only aspire to be a hairdresser as her family were rich and educated before to the revolution.
MD. As "Egri Bikavér" it is still around. Haven't seen the Bull's Blood brand for many a year but I'm sure it is still out there too.
I was thrilled to see a local wine for 80p in the Spar shop but they had sold out so can't report on that one.
