Jack Wilshire has vowed to do everything he can to ensure that he is fit in time to get injured again in this summer's World Cup in Brazil. The injury prone Arsenal midfielder told reporters today that he is confident he will have recovered from the broken bone in his foot in time to come a cropper against Italy on June 14th. Speaking at a press conference at the Emirates, Wilshire said 'I'm aiming to be back in action in time for the start of the tournament and have pencilled in a groin strain against Italy or maybe even cruciate ligament damage against Uruguay'.
Wilshire missed out on Euro 2012 after pulling a hamstring putting his shorts on before a training session and admits that this was the lowest point of his career so far. 'Its always been my dream to get injured playing for England at a major tournament so I was gutted. I had to wait until the start of the following season before I could get injured again playing for Arsenal but it just wasn’t the same'.
