It has been confirmed that both of the opposing factions have large numbers of ‘Poseurs’ and ‘Babushkas’ units, the latter, armed with 300mm heavy handbags. The
Soviet Russian side are also using uniformed troops from the mythical republic of Lavrovia, looking very much like Russians, having Russian equipment, but coming from somewhere else entirely.
The use of. the until now, covert Babushka units, was confirmed when it was discovered that many of the handbags contained bricks and lumps of metal. Babushkas have been recruited from vociferous grannies in 50+ age group, they were mainly used to shout down the opposition, but could be used as individuals in front of the media. With little fear of reprisals, they are able to lash out with their reinforced handbags, however they were much more effective when used in groups of five or six.
The ‘poseur’ units, again on both sides, dressed very strangely and were of little real use apart from making up the numbers and beating the crap out of isolated individuals from an opposing group. They frequently mounted a pretend guard in front of buildings, but quickly melted away when any real trouble was brewing.
