Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has confirmed that she is quitting The Taste and won't be back in a hurry for a second portion.
Speaking on this weekend's Graham Norton show she says, "I won't be back and good riddance too. There were no lingering shots of my fulsome figure, not once did they film me biting lush red cherries in a provocative way, I wasn't allowed to lick thick cream from my fingers, and the final icing on the cake, and pun intended Graham, I was not even once also allowed to mention plumptious dumplings, mine or anyone else's for that matter."
The star's agent told the press, "To have a show where Nigella's sexuality is so chronically underused is nothing short of a complete insult. She found the entire experience one big long hard grind and she'll certainly not be coming again. She was going to blow the job after the first show and walk then, but being a real pro she stuck with it. She really was gagging for it to be a success but now feels it's left a bad taste in her mouth and has shot its bolt well and truly.
She'd like to leave The Taste behind her and feels she wants to move on to her next TV project. One she's really excited about. It will see her back where she belongs cooking every week in a wet t- shirt and with her trademark doe-eyed outrageous innuendo back where it belongs."
Nigella's banging kitchen escapades is set to hit our screens this Autumn on BBC2.
