Some of Britain's underclass are choosing to flee to the capital's sewer system for a better life. Mr Jackson and his family moved down seven years ago when he was made unemployed and subsequently lost his home. "I've never been happier," he says. "No rent, no council tax, and you wouldn't believe what people flush down their toilets. We get mobile phones, jewellery, and even the odd condom. And as for the claims of cannibalism, we see it as a public service. There are too many people in the world and not enough pandas. I would never eat a panda. Top dwellers have such a lot to cope with. I'd never go back.”
