Multimillion pound selling graffiti artist, Banksy, has lashed out today against those who continually make him the subject of a cheap and rather tired old joke.
Speaking earlier to Holly Willoughby on ITV's This Morning, the wall-dauber par excellence let fly with a volley of foul-mouthed abuse.
All had seemed to be going according to plan when a silhouetted Banksy suddenly departed from Ms. Willoughby's usual bland line of questioning to stun both her and co-host Philip Schofield.
"You know what makes me f**king sick, love?" growled the clearly agitated artist.
Ignoring the F-bomb a flustered Ms. Willoughy ploughed on and asked a rather banal question, provoking another fusillade of filth.
"I'll tell you what makes me fu**ing sick, shall I? It's stupid wan**rs who come up to me and congratulate me for saving that header off the line from Pele in the '70 World Cup Finals! The brainless idiots! Do they honestly think I've never heard that one before. The stupid useless knobs!"
A stunned Schofield moved to help his co-presenter who appeared even more out of her depth than usual.
"Come on! Language please, this is going out live, you know," stammered the normally unflappable Phil. But the artist just stood up, took an aerosol can from inside his jacket and sprayed the hapless star a rather garish shade of canary-yellow.
"There you go pal, congratulations, you're my first mobile," quipped the clearly deranged doodler, before storming off the set.
ITV cut to an impromptu ad-break and order had been restored when they came back on-air. Schofield gamely tried to do a piece about offal with resident chef, Phil Vickery, but he was badly shaken and his heart wasn't really in it.
ITV later denied that it's considering selling Schofiled as a genuine original Banksy to cover Jonathan Ross's massive wage bill.
