Martin Scorsese has confirmed that Leonardo DiCaprio will take the title role in his upcoming biopic of the charming, sharply-suited, psychotically ambitious Education Secretary Michael Gove, working title "Govefellas".
Speaking from Hollywood, Mr Scorsese said "It's a natural for me.It's a gritty saga about this badass who makes his enemies vanish. The opening sequence has Mikey and two Parliamentary advisers driving in the middle of the night when this banging comes from the trunk."What's that?" asks one of the guys. "Baroness Morgan" says Mikey "Fuhgedaboutit" See what I mean?"
The rest of the cast will include Robert De Niro as Sir Michael Wilshaw, Ray Liotta as Tristram Hunt and Joe Pesci as Ed Milliband. A leaked copy of the script has attracted criticism for the repeated use of the F and C words, particularily in the recreation of Mr Gove's appearance before the 2012 Headteachers Conference.
