Environment Minister, Owen Paterson, has today told residents of Somerset to "Stop Moaning" and has labelled them hypocrites.
Paterson said "They have very short memories. Only 8 months ago they were banging on about how unfair the hose-pipe ban was that we had enforced after the hot summer. One minute it's not enough water now it's too much! These people really need to make up their minds as to what they do or don't want."
Mr Paterson added that he had cancelled a planned trip to a winery in the South of France to deal head on with the floods. "They (the Flood Victims) should realise that it is not just them who are being inconvenienced by this".
