After some fruity adjectives in his latest book "Biggles Stuffs a Politician", David Cameron recalled the legendary icon, Wing Commander Biggles, from Afghanistan and sacked him
Cameron explained "We, as a member of NATO, cannot stand by while senior officers make suggestive statements about the leadership of other fellow NATO countries. It is with regret that I have asked the Wing Commander to step down with immediate effect"
In Afghanistan, the news sparked troop unrest who were unhappy at Biggles being replaced. A sergeant who wishes to remain anonymous told us "they've removed a real fighting man, an officer at one with his troops and replaced him with that poof cousin of his, Algy. I can already hear the Taliban laughing"
So the question remains, can Algy pull it off? Does he have Biggles' spunk? Only time will tell
