In a surprise move by Tara Palmer Tomkinson and a group of her more publicity hungry friends, the "celebrity" has launched a new campaign to help the homeless. "My heart goes out to all of those poor people forced to sleep on the streets" she is quoted as saying "but when they hold out their hands to beg, their nails are in a frightful state, I mean, I wouldn't be seen dead begging with chipped nails, so I have started a campaign to help". Apparently customers at some of the many manicure parlours and nail bars in and around the centre of London are to be urged to leave "suspended" manicures to allow those less fortunate to at least have "glam" nails. Richard "Jock" McFadden, one of the homeless denizens of the capital has expressed his doubts about the scheme: "A manicure? is that some kinda fancy burger or what? Got any change on ye?". Official reaction to the scheme has been muted.
