In a historical break in Uni Lad orthodoxy, women are expected to be allowed join 'the banter' by 2018.
The controversial decision, proposed by UniLad leader FifaLegend95, said they would review the 'all women are feminazis on their period' rule inscribed into canon law, and make an informed decision on whether females could join in on the banter in the coming years.
“We would like to reach out to other members in the future, which may include female members,” read an official statement released today. “This will involve a severe screening process whereby their abilities to make rape jokes, play Call of Duty, and develop 'Keep Calm' memes will all be taken into consideration.”
The move was met with staunch criticism from many conservative LADs who feel that this may lead to being 'stuck in the friendzone' and would be redefining the term banter if a woman was in on the joke and not part of the hilarious punchline.
“Take this example for you,” said UniLad spokesperson KateUptonsTits72.“I once got a blowie off some wench (a 7.6, but a drunk 8.6) behind an alleyway, then made her pay for my kebab. Now I would be deemed less of a LAD amongst my peers if I didn't continue throwing lettuce at her and shouting obscenities at her afterwards. Allowing women to join in would simply devalue the institution of LAD banter.”
“
If they read parable 14 section 12 of The Lad Bible, it clearly states that 'LADs-and only LADS- may join in on the banter' and 'any male that doesn't find us funny is a puff who fancies Graham Norton', it's simply unnatural and goes against our core values.”
The election of the first ever female to join Uni Lad banter is expected to commence in 2018, although the ongoing debate may result in possible separation between its orthodox and more liberal factions.
