It is a sobering and disturbing thought that most of the reasons officially given in news broadcasts by that benighted country for the deposing, arrest and execution of the former second-in-command are infinitely more ludicrous than any of those dreamed up by Newsbiscuit corresponents here:
Sometimes life is beyond (and much scarier than) satire. Especially, it appears, in North Korea.
(One wonders how much human suffering, terror, starvation and slaughter, in the long term, might have been prevented if it had been possible to bring about the end of the Korean war through the defeat of the lunatic North Korean regime rather than just a cease-fire and partition. Perhaps "peace" is not always better than war.)
