With new gods being discovered all the time, being a deity has never been more stressful. But now a new quarterly magazine - DQ - aims to address this important, highly educated and powerful audience.
Launched by Zeitgeist Publishing, it will be printed on a range of platforms, from paper to papyrus, and in both stone and glowing screen tablet format. "The typical DQ reader will be omnipotent and yet playful. Righteous and yet wrathful. They'll see everything and they'll see nothing," said Zeitgeist Publishing's CEO Ken Bernstein. "One minute they're being praised to the heavens - the next they're having their existence questioned over some terrible event. Our research says the gods are beyond angry about this - they're hopping mad."
DQ will have a mixture of darkness and enlightenment, with regular features on travel and fashion - issue one has a ground breaking feature on how to find shoes for feet of clay. A How To section at the front of the mag - featuring a celebrity chef - includes tips on everything from testing faith to feeding five thousand unexpected guests.
