The BBC have been accused of dumbing down ahead of their Christmas and New Year TV listings.
Critics are particularly concerned over programmes such as ‘No Shit Sherlock’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in which all puzzles, mysteries and conundrums are plainly obvious to even the most dim-witted of viewers.
Another show of some concern is ‘Fuengerola Come Dancing’ with new host Mike Read in which people of all dancing ability are forced to do the Birdie Song or encouraged to dress as pineapples and form a conga.
Critics also point to ‘Doctor Who’s Case Book’ in which the craggy new doctor Peter Capaldi retires to a small highland village in Scotland to issue influenza jabs and treat head lice.
But most concern is levelled at the new CBBenders in which TV hardman Danny Dyer serves alcohol to under fives and slaps a few naughty children for being out of order.

At least we can take some comfort from the fact that Mr Mandela isn't alive to witness it.Posted 1 year ago #
