In a surprise announcement earlier today, the Friendly Bacteria and announced that they really “don’t go for” probiotic yogurts. In fact the find they say they are decidedly unpleasant. They point out that nobody asked them how they feel about these foods, they were given no choice, not consulted. They go on to point out that even the best of friends can have a “falling out” and those who were once friends can become enemies without difficulty. They point to many historical examples, including Iran and the UK, Afghanistan and the US, etc., etc.
A representative for Danone responded through a statement that they had now started discussions with the friendly bacteria to settle the dispute and that whilst they were not prepared to modify their product they believed that a financial settlement was close to agreement.
Meanwhile Max Clifford said he had had initial discussions with the friendly bacteria and may at some point be assisting them.
